Building inclusive communities since 1953, Community Living Peterborough is a non-profit organization that provies supports, services, and advocacy to children, youth and adults living with an intellectual disability and their families. We work collaboratively to ensure that the people we support and the greater community of citizens living with intellectual disabilities have every opportunity to:
· Live, learn, work and contribute;
· Receive the same rights and access to choice, supports, and services;
· Enjoy freedom with dignity;
· And have a voice to express their rights and aspirations.
From its inception in 1953, Community Living Peterborough has held the belief that the rightful place for people living with intellectual disabilities is in their home community contributing to and enjoying its benefits.
Through education, awareness, support and services, we are committed to opening doors every day to equal opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.
Our mission is to inspire respect and equality for people with an intellectual disability by promoting: community knowledge, organizational excellence and individual quality of life.
Our vision is that all people live in a state of dignity, share in all elements of living in the community, and have the opportunity to participate effectively.
